Chalets et Camping du Ruisseau Rouge, located on Île-aux-Coudres, offers fully equipped chalets, spacious campsites, and cabins for rent. Access to the river and beach is quick and easy. Enjoy your vacation in the heart of the St. Lawrence River! Chalets et Camping du Ruisseau Rouge is located on Île-aux-Coudres in the beautiful Charlevoix region of Quebec. Our location offers breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River, the sea, and the Charlevoix mountains. Who knows, you might even have the privilege of spotting beluga whales from the beach across from the campground! Our seven fully equipped chalets, 60 spacious campsites, and two cabins with electricity are situated on a vast natural area of over 22 acres. By staying here, you'll enjoy easy access to the river. You can walk for miles along the beach and explore the majestic views that Île-aux-Coudres has to offer.

The chalets

Each of the seven chalets has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, a living room with cable TV and Wi-Fi, outdoor chairs, an outdoor table, a large balcony, a propane barbecue, and a private fire pit. Some chalets also have a sofa bed. Pets are not allowed in the chalets.

The shelters

Our ready-to-camp shelters with electricity are accessible by car. They offer a great alternative to camping, providing a level of comfort and simplicity for those wishing to travel lighter. Pets are not allowed in the shelters.

A human-scale campsite where it's a pleasure to stay. A peaceful and calm atmosphere where nature, discovery, and contemplation take center stage. Here, there are no organized activities, no big festivities. For us, our vision of camping is a return to basics, to simple things, and to connecting with the nature that surrounds us.

A little bit of history! The name "Isle-aux-Coudres" comes from the island so named by Jacques Cartier during his second voyage in 1535. The noun "Coudre," originally "Couldre" (hazel tree), now "hazel tree," recalls the presence of this shrub when the famous explorer passed through.
